A blog to let anyone be aware of what I'd might be doing in the states...

I have chosen to be an exchange student from Denmark to USA 2010/2011, and this blog is to let possible readers know what I've been up to during my stay in the states. I will try to update it as often as possible...

A quick update

I've just come back from my soccer try-out. It went well I think. It surprised me, how good they actually were. I just didn't know if soccer was a big thing in America. Last night I got on the ice with the Michigan Elite Team down in St. Mary. It was good to see how the competition was like. Now I know what it will take to join the Novi Varsity Hockey Team. Just in about 15 minutes I have to go 'cause I'm going to meet some people down by the lake. We're going to do waterskiing some tubing etc. It will be fun :) See ya

Just some pics of the house :)

Safely landed !

ZzzzzzZZzZZzzZzzz....... Waaaaaaaaaauw I'm tired..

- After being travelling for 26 hours in total without sleep, from when i left my front door in Denmark, until i finally could get some sleep in my new room in Novi !

John and Sue are great, and I am excited to meet Alex (their son). None of them are home right now, but Sue will be home soon. And then it's just about experiencing the american culture ;) And now I am going to get some breakfast for the first time in Novi... Exciting !

But here is some pictures that shows how my room looks like !

Thoughts about departure...

First of all I'm going to write in English.. Partly because i need to train it, and then also because I thought it would fit perfectly to the occasion :)

Secondly:
"All my bags are packed
I'm ready to go
I'm standin' here outside your door
I hate to wake you up to say goodbye"
John Denver / Leaving On A Jet Plane

As he says in the song, so it is true for me... My bags are (almost) packed, and I do really hate to say goodbye to all friends and relatives back here in Denmark.. There's even some I didn't get to say bye to, and for that I can only say that there is always "tomorrow", which in this case would be in ten months.. waaaaauw.. it's a long time. It feels weird just to think it while I write.. I actually can't believe I am doing this. It's not yet a reality for me, until when I am sitting on seat "13B" on the plane. Or almost just the second I walk up the stairs of Detroit Airport. Right now? I think I need to go to bed. I have a long and a very exact planned day tomorrow :O

For those of you I don't see tomorrow - so long suckers ! ;) I hope to see many of you when I get back..

- I can't wait to see US and A.. It's gonna be wiiiiiild as hell :)
